This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of CommandVault. Violation may result in account suspension or termination.
1. Scope of permitted use
The Service is intended solely for administrative asset management, fleet maintenance, quartermaster workflows, equipment issuance, inspection scheduling, and related accountability operations by licensed law-enforcement and public-safety agencies in the United States.
2. Prohibited content
- Criminal Justice Information (CJI). You may not upload, store, or transmit CJI as defined by the FBI CJIS Security Policy, including but not limited to NCIC query results, criminal-history records, mugshots, fingerprints, or active-investigation case files.
- Prosecutorial evidence. Do not use the Service as the system of record for evidence intended for judicial proceedings.
- Private-citizen PII. Do not upload identifying information about persons who are not employees or authorized contractors of the Agency.
- Protected health information (PHI), financial-account credentials, or classified government information.
- Malware, exploits, or content intended to interfere with the Service or third-party systems.
- Content that is unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or infringes third-party rights.
3. Account security
Users are responsible for safeguarding their credentials. Share accounts only when strictly necessary and revoke access when personnel change roles. Report suspected unauthorized access to security@commandvault.app.
4. Technical limits
Automated or bulk use that materially exceeds typical human interaction may be rate-limited. Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, probe, or scan the Service outside a responsible-disclosure program we may publish.
5. Reporting abuse
Email abuse@commandvault.app with sufficient detail for us to investigate.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take steps we believe are reasonable, including notifying the affected agency, suspending specific users, or terminating the account for severe or repeated violations. We will cooperate with lawful requests from government authorities.
